Blue jeans & Belt, impromptu morning shot in hotel room before heading out. Taken w/GR III
Film shot taken with the Argus C-3 that my dad gave me when I was about twelve. It was his dad's camera. Kodak Portra 160. I shot this beautifully arranged and well lit scene of fruits and veggies with three different cameras this day. Not an award winning photo, but it means a lot to me because my dad gave the camera to me, and he inspires me every day (though he doesn't know it).
A Seat for Every (cute) Butt. Taken w/Olympus EM-1 Mark II & 12-100 Pro lens (my FAVORITE Olympus lens). I was in SoHo, NYC.
Taken w/GR III
Front Row Seat. This image is from my first photo shoot with this VW Beetle in the woods. It was winter, not too cold, but the bramble overgrowth was tame, allowing me tick-free access to the front row seats. Taken w/E-M1 Mark II.
Trail Creek Trestle. Taken w/Ricoh GR III.
My first roll of film shot through a new camera I'd purchased, and my first roll of film shot through a pinhole camera. It's an Ondu Pocket 6x6, a wooden camera made in Slovenia. The design and craftsmanship of this camera is impressive. It's super fun to shoot with. This is a medium format camera, so it shoots 120 film. This is Kodak Portra 160. Like some of my other photos on this website--not an award winner--but I like it. The subject in this photo is the Trail Creek Trestle in Athens Georgia. It's been restored and updated to be a wonderful bike trail that I've ridden many times.
My Ondu Pocket 6x6 camera. Very cool camera made in Slovenia. I only posted this on my site to show what it looks like. The previous image was made with this camera.
Ladybug. She landed on my Ondu Pocket 6x6 pinhole camera while I was standing outside my truck preparing for a shoot. Taken w/Ricoh GR III.
Love. Taken w/E-M1 Mark II.
Ma Po Tofu, made from scratch. I first had this unusual dish in the early 90’s at a Chinese restauant outside of Atlanta. If done right, it is a hearty dish that gives a strong unami and sometimes spicy garlic flavor, and the tofu provides a mouth filling soft texture. The ingredients should only be tofu, ground pork, black bean paste, chili paste, garlic, chicken stock, and a few other minor ingredients. Naturally I attempted to make it but the recipe I was given didn’t replicate the original. Over the years I’d try different recipes from Chinese cookbooks and then eventually from the Internet. It wasn’t until about 2023 that I finally found a recipe online that was different from all the rest I’d tried, and was the closest to the authentic version I’d eaten three decades earlier. I usually make it at least once a month. Taken w/GR III.
My tube headphone amp. This is a really cool little $150 amplifier with a tube sticking out of the top that I bought to listen to vinyl records with. It's really cool to use, and sounds awesome. Taken w/Ricoh GR III.
Film shot, taken with my Yashica TLR, medium format. Kodak Portra 160. An old camera, works perfectly.
Gibbs Garden during a severe thunderstorm. Taken w/Olympus E-M1 Mark II.
Film shot taken with the Argus C-3 that my dad gave me when I was about twelve. Not an award winning photo, well, maybe for 75th place. I like it for the fact it was taken with the camera that my dad gave me, and that it has veggies that I love to eat. It was also a fun day of photographing. Kodak Portra 160.
Blue Eldorado in a blue carport, with wild flowers. Taken w/GR III.
Pearl and Pine brewery, Senoia. Reeeeally good IPA! Taken w/E-M1 Mark II.
Stylized breakfast shot. I wasn't intending to take photos of my breakfast, but when I put the bowl on my kitchen table a combination of things came together that struck me, so I moved a book I was reading a little closer in, and quickly positioned the spoon and napkin, then snapped a few shots. I did this quickly so my eggs wouldn't get cold. Taken with Ricoh GR III.
A courtyard in Senoia GA at sundown, taken with E-M1 Mark II.
My dad gave this Argus C-3 to me when I was 12. His dad gave it to him. It takes amazing pictures (there are lots of photos on this site made with this camera), and is really fun to use. I have photos posted in the Film Projects page made from this camera. Taken w/GR III next to a water feature at the Georgia Museum of Art.
Fill-er-up at an old gas station the day after Thanksgiving in Winder, GA, at sundown. Taken w/EM1-mk2.
Old abandoned car in Winterville, GA. Someone had rolled the window down. I like the way the light brings out the red in the tiller, and the blue on the building behind the car. Taken w/EM1-mk2.
Handle. Taken w/GR3
I was driving out of Cobbtown GA one early summer day, talking on the phone with a friend and this scene caught my eye. I kept driving, didn't want to go through the trouble of stopping, but talked myself into it, asked my friend if I could call him back, and made the U-turn. Spent about twenty minutes getting images of this onion field in a thunderstorm. I love the way the light seems to be sourced from directly above, as if from a giant studio light, but it's the way the sun is routed through the clouds. Taken w/GR-3ii.
I love this shot. It's of a farmer driving his John Deere cotton harvester, in November. Taken w/Pentax QS1.
Sunglasses Try-On. Short-sleeve weather at Christmas time, I was wandering in my hometown of Jefferson GA one evening and noticed a rack of sunglasses in the display window of an old drugstore, and thought it would be neat to get a self portrait with me wearing a pair without having to go into the store. It was after hours, so the drugstore was closed. It took me a while to find just the right distance from the window so the glasses were proportionally matched to my face, while also finding the correct angle below my chin to point the camera to make it look like I was really wearing those Ray Bans. Fun shot. I also like the turquoise background. Taken w/GR3-ii.
Film photo, self portrait accidentally double exposed on a shot of an old building that sold Kodak products. I shot this w/my Argus C-3 that was my dad's, and his dad's. I didn't know there were double exposures on the roll until I got them back from the film lab. Most of the photos on the roll were double exposed, but the strange thing is both layers of exposure were taken at different times! I must've removed the roll before it was fully exposed and put in another roll, then later on I put the partially exposed roll back in my camera.
Tumbler cage used to generate random numbers broadcast from WLWO for use in one-time pads. Taken w/Olympus EM1-mk2
I was looking through photo folders and stumbled on this photo, it didn't look familiar and I didn't think I took it. I studied it for 10-15 seconds, wondering what the location is and why it was among my photos. It looks like an architectural rendering with fake cars perfectly spaced. After studying it for a while it finally sneaked up on me, and I realized I took this a few years ago in Atlanta with my Ricoh GR-3 and heavily processed it in Silver Efx Pro to give it this other-worldly, apocalyptic look. What I still can't figure out is how my camera made everyone's cars spaced at such safe and courteous distances from each other, which NEVER happens in real life in Atlanta!!
Cliche worn out bench & leaning No Parking sign. Taken w/GR3
My trusty Argus C-3 in the Ethnobotanical Garden on the UGA campus. Taken w/GR3ii
Foggy approach on runway 8L, Hartsfield Airport. Taken w/EM1-mk2
Manhattan at night, I was on a sidewalk in Soho and saw this dude inside an exclusive club, and snapped this photo just as he noticed me. I wonder what he was up to in there. Taken w/EM1-mk2.
Self silhouette on my A10D, taken w/GR3ii.
Rainy January day in Brooklyn NY. Taken w/EM1-mk2
Foggy morning in Brooklyn, overlooking the East River, with the Manhattan Bridge in the background. One thing that has always drawn me to this image is the way the bridge and the railing form two parallel lines on the image, but they're nearly perpendicular in reality. Taken w/EM1-mk2.
Red Door, the Red Door. I was on my way to a friends house and saw this and made a u-turn to get a few images. It's an old cotton mill that is now a church. Taken w/Pentax K3.
Beautiful morning to drive with the top down. After having a relaxing breakfast at the Talmo Market Grill I stumbled on this old convertible and captured an image of the owner adjusting the radio before driving off. Taken w/EM1-mk2
Departing LGA runway 31, probably about 5000 ft by this point over Manhattan. The Hudson is on the right. I had just purchased the GR3ii a few hours earlier and this was one of my first shots.
Thomas Fountain Band, opening for Charlie Daniels. Taken w/Pentax K3

Cool shot of Miles Landrum enjoying his coffee in the green room at Smith's Olde Bar. Taken w/EM1-mk2
John Rice in the green room at Smith's Olde Bar. I set this shot up, there are at least two off-camera flashes, one is directly behind him in the doorway, one is to his left and above. Taken w/EM1-mk2.
